#46: Nurturing Trust: Media Literacy

Today’s media landscape is more fragmented than ever. Between Telegram channels, social media platforms, podcasts, videos, and images, we have the ability to pick and choose what we see and read. It also means that we must be savvy when identifying real news from fake news or false stories. The challenge is even more critical during crises and wars.

So, how can we foster trust as it relates to people, media, digital platforms, governments, private companies, and non-profit organisations? How can we support ordinary users, as well as policymakers, educators, media professionals, youth organisations, and disadvantaged populations in making effective decisions about information and institutions that provide it?

These are some of the topics we'll be discussing at the upcoming PechaKucha Night Yerevan, as part of Media Literacy Week in Armenia. The event follows UNESCO's annual Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week.
